This Privacy Policy describes how Tiempo Soccer Academy ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at https://tiemposoccer.com and the Tiempo Soccer Academy mobile application (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described below.

For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at info@tiemposoccer.com.

Who we are

Our website address is: https://tiemposoccer.com. We also operate the Tiempo Soccer Academy mobile app, available on iOS and Google Play.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Account information

When you register for an account on our website or mobile app, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Role (coach, parent, or athlete)
  • Password (stored in hashed form)

We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, and deliver the features appropriate to your role.

Athlete development data

To support coaching and athlete progress tracking, we collect data entered by coaches, parents, or athletes, including:

  • Session notes and coach feedback
  • Performance scores and assessments
  • Training records and development milestones

This data is visible to the athlete, their parent or guardian, and the coaches assigned to them.

Usage data

We collect basic information about how you interact with the app and website, such as pages visited, features used, actions taken, device type, and general diagnostic information. This helps us understand how the Services are used and improve them over time.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How we use the data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide coaching tools and track athlete progress over time
  • Enable communication and collaboration between coaches, parents, and athletes
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorized access
  • Troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and improve the platform
  • Respond to support requests and inform users of meaningful changes to the Services

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate the Services, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their role:

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles user authentication on our behalf.
  • Automated spam detection — visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Tiempo Soccer Academy, our users, or the public.

Data about minors

The Tiempo Soccer Academy app is intended for use by soccer academies, and some of our athletes are under 18 years old.

  • For athletes under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent for the minor's account and data to be stored on the platform.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us at info@tiemposoccer.com and we will delete it promptly.
  • Parents and guardians can review, edit, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website or app, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile for as long as the account remains active. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Athlete development data is retained for the duration of the athlete's involvement with the academy and deleted on request as described below.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@tiemposoccer.com.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing info@tiemposoccer.com from the address tied to your account. Parents and guardians may request deletion of a minor's account on the minor's behalf.

Once we verify the request, we will delete the account and associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or administrative reasons.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Account and athlete data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure and may be processed in the regions where Supabase operates.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app, by email, or by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
